The Founder
Why I built FSO.
Prashant Narang (PRN) · Founder, FSO
A Chartered Accountant who spent 25 years watching good businesses run blind on their numbers — and decided to build the standard that fixes it.
Why I started FSO
Good businesses shouldn't fail for reasons they never saw coming.
For 25 years as a Chartered Accountant, I've sat across the table from hundreds of founders — brilliant at their craft, building real companies — yet flying blind on the one thing that quietly decides whether they survive and scale: how well they run their money.
I kept seeing the same story. Profitable on paper, starved of cash. Growing in revenue, leaking in margin. Working harder every year with less and less to show for it. Not because these founders weren't smart — but because no one had ever given them a clear, objective picture of what “financially smart” actually looks like, or an honest way to measure themselves against it.
My whole career has been about turning that black box into something an owner can see and act on — from the Four Bucket Cash Flow method in my book, to the idea at the heart of my TEDx talk: clarity. Clarity about where your money sits, where it leaks, and where it should go next.
FSO is that belief, made measurable. One clear score. The dimensions that decide whether you keep the money you make and grow with confidence. And a certification your bank, your board and your buyers can trust — because it's measured against a real standard, not an opinion.
I built the standard I wish every founder I ever advised had been handed on day one. If it helps you run your business with more clarity and less fear, it will have done its job.
